Dinner Committee

The dinner committee plans the annual Woman of the Year dinner, including the annual Dinner Journal. The annual dinner is WX’s principal fundraising event.

 

Membership Committee

Co-chairs: Sheri Chromow, Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP

Allyson Martin, HUB International Northeast Limited

The membership committee identifies potential new members and processes applications for membership, including scheduling interviews, etc. The membership committee is also responsible for integrating the new members into the organization and hosting breakfasts or other intimate gatherings in order for the members to get to know one another.

 

Mentoring Committee

The goal of the WX mentoring program is to promote the advancement of women in the real estate professions, by introducing mentees to career opportunities and female leaders in various real estate fields, through formal programs and formal and informal mentoring, and by using the knowledge and experience of the WX members to assist mentees as they begin their real estate careers.

 

Program Committee

The program committee organizes WX’s monthly breakfasts featuring prominent industry leaders.  The committee is also responsible for Conversations and Perspectives, programs geared to young women interested in the real estate profession and career advancement for junior women in the profession.

 

Scholarship Committee 

Co-Chairs: Elisabeth A. Sapery,

Wanda Chin,  The Community Preservation Corporation

The scholarship committee establishes scholarship criteria and works with universities with dedicated real estate programs to identify candidates for WX scholarships. The committee runs the application process, interviews candidates, and selects recipients. The co-chairs welcome the help of veteran and brand-new members especially with respect to identifying and forming relationships with real estate programs.
